X Men, a zookeeper and night lights

Yesterday I started a new project at Us for the executive producer of the website. It is basically replacing broken links on the website, which are links that either do not exist anymore or are being redirected to the wrong place. It is important to fix these links because the less broken links you have on the site the higher up it will appear on search engines. Obviously the higher the site comes up on a search, the more readership the site will get. I was really excited my supervisor chose me out of all the interns for the project because I guess it means I am doing something right. I also really like the project because although it is not very glamorous, I am very interested in digital and online journalism and it is a great learning experience for me. Last night Katy and I went to "X Men: First Class" and I really liked it. I snuck pasta from the dining hall into the theater because apparently in New York people are not limited to popcorn and hot dogs. Katy has brought Chinese food to a movie and when we saw "Bridesmaids" the people next to us had burritos, so I figured Italian food needed to be represented.

Today, I continued working on the broken links project and signed up to go to the "Zookeeper" premiere Sunday night and the press conference Monday morning. The movie is like "Dr. Dolittle," but instead of a doctor it is a zookeeper who needs help getting a girl. I agree, sounds pretty lame, but I am excited just to go and who knows maybe the love of my life James Franco will make an appearance (crossing my fingers).

I have also been watching "Friday Night Lights," which people have been telling me is an awesome show for awhile, but I never got around to starting it. It is so good--really great acting and the perfect mix of humor and seriousness. Tomorrow Katy and I are going to have a picnic at high line park and then meeting up with some people to go out later. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
