turn on the lights

The past few days have been filled with fun internship tasks like going to Rockefeller Center and asking people to vote on who wore it best and transcribing the 911 call teen mom Amber's boyfriend made to report her suicide attempt. Oh and my name is in this week's issue of the magazine! It is super small, but I still thought it was pretty cool. I think I will be in next week's too because I did the fashion police reporting again. I grabbed dinner at the dining hall then went over to Katy's apartment to eat with her last night. I got really distracted reading this crazy Rolling Stone article about a young girl who became pretty famous through myspace and other websites and was raped and threatened eventually because of it. It was interesting enough to hold my attention for three full pages of microscopic font (plus, I am always impressed by Rolling Stone writing), but after that and determining that hens lay eggs even when they are not fertilized (Justin won that texting argument) Katy wanted to go to bed, so I ventured home.

Tonight I just went to the dining hall and watched the "Bourne Identity," and was very amused by the totally 90's cell phones. Early this evening I thought I wanted to go out, but now I realize I am way too tired to even think about doing anything but snuggle in bed. Katy and I have a pretty wild night ahead of us tomorrow because her uncle got us tickets to Glee Live, and then we are waking up early to go somewhere special on Saturday (I cannot disclose the location at this time because it is a surprise for someone). But I'm excited about it!

Something that I thought was stupid today was the title of a broadway musical... Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark. I saw a couple of ads on cabs today and thought to myself, that doesn't even make sense, and many times people can get away with saying things that don't make sense as long as they are cool. But "Turn Off The Dark" isn't even cool. Spider Man by itself is cool. Bono, who did the music, is cool. There is absolutely no need to add a stupid tag line like that, especially when it is just a back-handed way of saying "Turn On The Lights," which is one of the most mundane phrases available. That's my opinion, someone might think it is cool, but they probably aren't my friend. I was bad and have failed to take pictures the last few days, so I have nothing new to post. I guess a stupid Spider Man ad will have to do for today.
