I woke up to Katy's yellow lab Lucy sniffing and walking all over me with Katy, Sarah and Katie laughing at me. We decided to go out for brunch with Katy's mom near the water, so we sat outside at this cute restaurant on a cobblestone street. I had the classic breakfast with eggs, potatoes and bacon, but it took them forever to bring us our food because there was a large party inside that had put in their order right before us. After brunch, we walked around and looked in a few shops. Katy spotted a shirt with the Boh Boy and Utz Girl (beer and potato chips respectively made in Baltimore) getting married on it, and I found a Space Needle figure (see picture below) and I would have bought it, but it was a little too expensive for what it was and it is a little weird to buy something referencing your hometown when you are visiting another city. Next we walked down by the water and took a few pictures with boats in the background, and by that time we had to make our way to the train station/bus stop to drop Katie and me off. Sarah is staying in Baltimore until early this week for the conference, and she is staying with her sister who lives in Baltimore. I waited a little bit for the bus, which was 15 minutes late but thankfully not two hours behind schedule, and then I was New York bound. I had to take the MVP bus back to the city because the Bolt Bus was sold out on Sunday. I could tell that the MVP bus was not as good and it was going to take me longer to get home. I made it back around 7:30 p.m. and took the subway back to my dorm. I got Chipotle for dinner and the guy told me they are increasing their prices next week! Get your burrito bowls now, friends! I also started watching "Friday Night Lights" because "The Tudors" episodes are still out of order on Netflix, and it seems like it is good so far. Katy finished the whole series and loves it, so I bet I am going to love it too. I also wrote a very harsh e-mail to Bolt Bus demanding a full refund for my ticket because of how badly they messed up. Some guy on our bus said he got an e-mail from the company saying everyone was going to be refunded, but neither Katy nor I got that e-mail and there was no refund in my bank account, so I decided the e-mail was very warranted.
It was a short, but sweet trip to Baltimore, but it was very fun and I am glad I decided to go because I do not think there would have been another opportunity for me to get down there this summer (I still hope there is time to go to DC!) It felt good to be in an actual home setting, eating great food outside, enjoying the company of wonderful people and playing with labs (the best doggies in the world). I am happy to be back in the city for another exciting week at Us though. I am also planning on going to a museum on Tuesday and possibly seeing a show during the day on Saturday. I always make plans like this on here and never follow through, but I feel like there is still so much to do in this city and I want to be able to fit everything in before I leave.
